Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz?

WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz, a native of Garden City, told the Journal-World on Tuesday night that he plans to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Sept. 16 in Las Vegas.
“I just need to look at the contract and make sure everything is OK. It’s not 100 percent sure yet, but that’s what I’m setting my sights on.”

Ortiz is one of my favorite young boxers in the game, but even I have to say he doesn't stand a chance here. Will be heavily rooting for him to shock the World, though.

I remember hearing about this and I don't like it to be honest with you. It's too early to put a guy like Victor Ortiz against Money just yet. Money still gotta fight Manny

I don't believe it.
But should it come to pass, it's a good fight.
And Mayweather would deserve credit for fighting a legitimate contender.

I don't believe this either. Need something a little more top heavy of a source to start thinking about this one. Victor could be just talking on a whim, making over assumptions, or been misquoted.

Mayweather is a asshole but he'd ride manny's ass to a decision.
