You Kirkland fans, don't turn into ufc-fags and jump off this guy's wagon.
Looked like James was dry.
Never recovered from the first KD.
No headmovement after that, became a pinata.
Congrats to Ishida, huge win for him.
James goes back to the drawing board.

I like the fact that Kirkland brings a lot of action and excitement, but I was never sold on this kid.

This fight was a setup for him to win, but most people didn't realize that it was also a step up for him as Ishida is an experienced guy and a former titlest. Kirkland fought Joel Julio before, but that was pre-prison, and Ishida is actually a better fighter on paper, and at 35 is a bonafide vet. Him stopping Kirkland was a big surprise though.

I'm glad the native son of Japan pulled off the major upset.

Let's see how Kirkland reacts on this loss mentally. Hope he'll fight again soon.
