Leko wasnt doing so hot the last few years. At least JLB spanked SPong and was competitive with Kyotaro.

Maybe the switch of gyms will work for Blitz though, we will see.

I've got the 2003 era Leko hair as well - bleach Blitz. And we all know what happens when France and Germany go to war - as Paris was conquered with ease in June 1940, so will JLB crumble and fade in the BLITZKREIG

I'm very curious to see this.

These guys are K-1 legends and it should be a great fight.

If I had to choose between the two I'd have to lean towards JLB by kiss of death.

Leko = 108kg

Translation for lazy yanks; LeBanner is a massive 253lbs for this one. Leko is an all time high 238lbs (his prime was between 210 and 218lbs)

LeBanner is knocking out Leko at this day and age.

Back in his prime, we would have had an entertaining decision with moments of glory for Blitz.

JLB was at his absolute best in 2001-2002, and it was then that he fought Blitz and they had a 5 round war. LeBanner took it 3 rounds to 2, won on points.

These days, it's interesting because neither JlB has the sustained power of attack, nor Leko the speed and endurance, to do what they did to each other 10yrs ago. Add to that equation Leko's lessened durability, and JLB's depleted gas tank, and this one could be either a dud, or an absolute CLASSIC between two aged legends of the game.

So Lebanner is lower than his usual 265/120kilos , and Leko is at least 20 pounds over his prime weight , coming in at an all time high of 108 kilos. What does this say ? Leko possibly juicing , being that he had all the time in the world to do it properly and without risks of detection. Who would blame him with all the free time on his hand , a guy gets bored. Either that or he just got fat. Some pictures would have been nice. But we'll see in due time i guess. I still got Jerome , only because i haven't seen Leko fight since 2007 ,i admit.

I want Leko to win but I see JLB getting this by KO,will always support my boy

I doubt Leko is juicing. He always had a natural looking "protein shake body" haha - big protruding belly (nonetheless ripped with 6pack) and toned, but not huge arms.

Compare his body shape to most of K-1 during his 1997-2007 era - a hell of a lot of guys had slim abdomens and proportionately huge arms.

Also, judging by his traps and shoulders, it doesnt look like Blitz has juiced. At least, not HGH or something like Stanozolol or a heavy bulker.

Also, this fight is basically between 2 of the top 3 or 4 boxers in K-1. Along with Mike Bernardo (not counting guys like Botha) I doubt there's any heavyweight kickboxer with the same boxing pedigree as Blitz and JLB.

I expect a punch-heavy fight from both guys. JLB is bigger and more powerful, Leko is faster and arguably has a better overall game (dont lynch me, it's just my opinion)

I kinda expect a technical boxing match too
