The big idea behind this was all of his training will be for free with some great training partners.. It's Showtime was NOT happy about this.

They are just a promotion? what can be their problem if the fighters from the same Gym are willing to fight each other?

There is a management branch of It's Showtime as well...

It's not like MMA though Dave, Saki fought Overeem. And I'm sure they all thought they were going to fight Semmy! It's not like It's Showtime is trying to save up superfights because they arbitrarily mix superfights in with contenders vs. cans!

I get what DW is saying now, It's Showtime wanted to be his management as opposed to Golden Glory. I mean he IS a promoter's goldmine with his story and all! So does this mean that he was in talks with the It's Showtime management Dave? If he stiffed them, then they could blackball him from their events... Vewy intewesting...

Golden Glory is also a management yes, Sem Schilt has been trained by the same trainers his whole career and is called "golden glory" just because they manage him and shit

Yeah, Semmy really doesn't train with Golden Glory guys, he has his own camp that he works out of.

But yeah, basically It's Showtime has been looking for ways into the U.S. and Mark would be a big help to them. I'm almost 100% certain he'll fight for them no matter what, but they were interested in having him as one of their guys.

This probably means Miller will either move to the Netherlands or just go there and train a lot at the Breda camp. That is unless they start flying in guys to the new gym in SoCal..

Speaking of, Will are you gonna head over there for the opening by any chance?

I would love to be there. I have exclusively trained and competed as a boxer though, not much of a kicker hehe.

It's the 20th, I believe it's in LA but I'd have to get the concerete addy from Martijn to be sure.

I know the Fight Game guys will be there, as will de Jong and probably the Overeem brothers as long as nothing goes wrong this weekend. Miller will be there as well. They were supposed to fly me out but they seem to like waiting until last possible f'n minute for everything, so I won't know until tomorrow probably.
