So im Boxing a guy WAY larger than me.....

So im Boxing a guy tues morning that's 6'4 and 230....Im 5'10 and 175 This is me:



Im in shape and im way faster than he is but im wondering if I should stand and "Bang" with him or should I "Frankie Edgar it out" and use footwork and Jab his brains out...what do you think????

I think you should ask your trainer and not MMA fans on this forum although I do respect the knowledge of TeamTakover's forum members.

Too unknown factors in that equation for me to make that call, but if you think you can knock him out, the sooner the better against a guy that large.

we are Boxing in the gym. I think if I stand and Bang with him I can catch him on the chin, and LIGHTS OUT! .....But I dont want to get caught myself

too many unknowns...is he a fat pudgey 230 guy? is he very well conditioned in that his stamina is very good, does he have bear strength?

if he is a pudgey fat guy than tire him out.

He's not as fit as I am but he's not fat ether. I know if I put my punches together and slip punches I can really hurt him! I love Boxing people bigger than me

but If I were you your gonna need alot of head movement I'm guessing the guy has reach on that jab you gotta slip it and make him pay hit him in the body and then move on to the chin and you'll catch him. but you gotta wear him out throw them body shots head movement slip the jab and body shots use your speed and I'm guessing you have better cardio then him so throw a good rate of punches make him work and don't forget BODY SHOTS!!!

I completely agree with this strategy, don't let the big man control the distance though. Keep the fight in the pocket, throw some nice shots to the body to wear him out. When the time is right and that dude is worn out, that's when you start pop shots to the chin. Have fun
