HO KOGAN!

One of wrestling's finest meme's. Shit in the ring, shit on the mic, but by god you've got to love him and his enthusiasm.

Let's be realistic here. There are FAR worse wrestlers than Warrior. More importantly, there are wrestlers whose mic skills may be considered better than Warrior's... but how many people get you that fired up about their match? I'M COMING FOR YOU HOKE OGAN! WHAT WILL YOU DO HOKE OGAN WHEN THE WARRIOR COMES FOR YOU HOKE OGAN! I'LL HOKE OGAN YOUR HOKE OGAN FACE FOR THE WARRIIOOOOOOORORRRRSSSSSS!

He's like a Michael Bay movie. Either you can't disconnect some elitist/pedantic part of your brain... or you can and you enjoy it for what it is.

Much like wrestling in general.

Agreed Bloodstain. I remember working out at my high school gym thinking that I could someday be as big as him. After working out for almost a year I looked in the mirror and said WTF? I have been training hardcore about a year and how come I am nowhere near that big? Then my gym teacher told me that those WWF guys are on roids. The Ultimate Warrior was on the juice, but he was strong as any top power lifter out there. He still trains hardcore to this day. Take a look. He is lifting light here though.

The Ultimate warrior before he was the warrior actually wasn't that bad at wrestling. He had alot of good matches with his tag team partner(sting before he was sting) when he wrestled as the "Dingo Warrior". Once the Ultimate warrior was born, that was the end of the technical shit.

Absolutely, the Blade Runners were really not that bad of a tag team. Very green, not very polished, but definitely had the look and had that swagger of an up-and-coming team.

My thoughts on Warrior, well yea, he looked great, very smart marketing by WWE put him way over with the fans, I get the appeal, I was never a huge fan of his, I could kind of tell that it was never Warrior who was putting over the matches, and for him to have a great match, you had to put him with someone who could teach him and lead him, and very few guys were able to do so successfully. Was awesome on the mic sometimes, but other times his promos were just god-awful.

I marked out bigtime over Warrior-Hogan at WM 6. You could just feel the electricity in that f'n arena. Classic stuff. People like to hate on the Warrior, but he definitely was over like crazy, the pop he got was always huge. He had a couple of good matches with Rick Rude and particularly Randy Savage.

But nothing beats him getting the WWF Intercontinental belt from the Honky Tonk Man. What a rush.

I'm still a Hellwig mark, lol. I remember buying Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior when it came out, and going over a friends house and watching it with like 5 people, and everyone was like "Damn, fuck Hellwig, what a douche" - lol.

I watch almost zero wrestling these days, but back when I was like 5-12 or 13 I watched a TON of it, maybe even later that that. Shit would get me haywire. Loved the Warrior, Road Warriors (Legion Of Doom), Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan etc. I was obviously young and didn't understand the genius of guys like Rowdy Roddy Piper and Ravishing Rick Rude. I'd rather watch reruns of those old matches than the John Cena generation any day of the week.

Dame I use to love this guy but its crazy that Drugs were fueling the intensity of the worrier. I was too little too even know why he was the way he was. I see that with a lot of those guys. But he was one of my fav's.

obviously on steroids (not unlike many at the time and probably still now) but a great entertainer all the same!

I never knew what the fuck he was talking about though. something to do with other planets, rocket ships and just elongating the syllables in every word?

The Ultimate Warrior's promos always confused the fucking shit out of me. I was like 5 and never understood what the fuck he was talking about. And being a little kid i took what most people said very literal. Which made Warrior promos even more fucking confusing. God damn, he was entertaining as hell though.
