Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
Pretty much a better version of K-1 Koshien. They announced a 63kg tournament. Here's an article about it as well as a write-up of who the possible contenders are. Hope you like it

Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
I really hope they use everyone mentioned in your article. Especially since it's all too likely that they'll use three rounds for each bout. So much potential for excitement.
Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
a tournament with Urabe, Son Hyun Lee, Noiri, Shoei Haruyama, Hiroya, Hiroki Akimoto and the Ishida brothers would pretty much promise exciting fights. this tournament has a lot of potential

If they can just get the Ishida brothers, then this will already be the best tournament of the whole year.

I don't know about that. With Thai Fight Extreme's -63kg and -70kg tournaments along with It's Showtime's -70kg tournament.
It'll definitely be up there in terms of entertainment. KRUSH guys throw down.

Son Hyun Lee, the Ishida brothers, Hiroya, Ryuya Kusakabe, Shota Takiya, Hiroki Akimoto and Shoei Haruyama as the last 8 would be the best thing ever

Hiroya and 3 randoms just got announced. I'm hoping for at least 1 more big name.

so far it's basically Hiroya, Urabe, Noiri, the J-Network Flyweight champ, some former K-1 Koshien fighters that didn't do much in Koshien and haven't done much since and a few fighters that don't have any info on them really

Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
Somewhere around the current Shooto and Pancrase popularity levels. They all seem to fill places like Korakuen Hall, Differ Ariake and Shinjuku FACE the same. that's just sort of what I've gathered from the various crowds. GBR, Yahoo JP and Boutreview tend to put a bigger emphasis on Krush than any of the other kickboxing promotions because of their connections to K-1

Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
Koya Urabe wins this easily imo, but the Noiri/HIROYA rematch is going to be incredible.
Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
HIROYA and Noiri's fights from the Round of 16 and Quarters

Hiroya looked vulnerable in the 3rd round against Ogawa and Noiri gets hit too much. I'd take Noiri again in the rematch, but Hiroya's got some stopping power. I think Koya outworks Hiroya and overpowers Noiri.

Re: Krush Under-22 Supernova Tournament
For all you Noiri lovers, he just won the tournament by beating Hiroya for a second time and knocking out Koya Urabe in the finals. honestly, I think this is as good a night for any fighter at 60kg or 63kg in Japan in a while. more impressive and forceful than Kubo's, Kajiwara's and Hirataka Urabe's tournament wins. also, Kajiwara defended his title against Tetsuya Yamato
