IT’S SHOWTIME organizes huge event on January 28, 2012!

IT’S SHOWTIME will organize a huge event on January 28, 2012 in The Netherlands. The location and the fight card will soon be announced. We’re full steam ahead in the negotiations, but we can already announce some fighters which will participate to this event for sure: Badr Hari, Tyrone Spong, Hesdy Gerges, Daniel Ghita and Ben Edwards.

On this evening, there will be no less than 12 absolute world class fights. We would also like to know who you would like to see to fight against Badr Hari. This event might be the best and most stacked IT’S SHOWTIME fight card ever! The location, which we will soon announce, will have a maximum capacity of 5000 spectators, and there will only be 50 exclusive VIP tables on sale.

The presale starts on Saturday, October 15 and the entire fight card will be announced at the end of September. Check our website www.fight.nl or download our free app for your smartphone.

We had originally scheduled this event for the end of this year. However, since we still get signals from Japan that they want to organize a last 16 (Final Elimination) in October and the last 8 (Final) in December, we have decided to give K-1 the space and opportunity they need to make this work, because that would serve our sport well.

Anyway, the year 2012 will start in The Netherlands with a BANG!

I'm sure most of those guys will be skipping the WGP. If they're smart, they will. They don't owe K-1 anything, and shouldn't risk not getting paid.

It's Showtime has an ingenious/moronic strategy of selling a live gate to a very select, privileged, and chosen few. Those 5,000 seats are valued at about 10,000 dollars each. And absolutely no doubt about it, they WILL sell out. They have a very strange business model. Make the live gate exclusionary to rich/prominent folks from the region they are putting on the show in, and make the card to be broadcast so phenomenal that average folks can't help but purchase it. thats a crazy business model, but i guess rich people from around europe will be flying in for this crazy card so it will most likely be sold out. shitty though cause a poor student like me could afford the regular prices tix but not with these prices! Looks like i'll buy the PPV though cause this card looks extremely promising.
