Steve Claggett - Next Big Thing Out of Canada
Steve Claggett is a fighter from my city, he's 10-0-1 and fighting on January 14 against undefeated Jose Mendoza from Mexico. He's been down to the States to train with Alfonso Gomez, Urbano Antillon, Zab Judah, Roger Mayweather. He's got good power and goes to the body really well. His defence could still use a bit of work but he's always improving with his new ventures to train in the States. He usually fights at 140 and has had a few fights at 135 but I think 135 is the better weight class for him. If he wins his next fight he's got an offer to go fight on a big card in the Phillipines.

After several minutes Roger Mayweather appeared and asked the two
Canadians to come to the lobby with him. We followed him as he closed
the door behind us.
“Listen,” he said to de Guzman while pointing at Claggett. “He’s
good. He’s real good. He’s slick and that movement is some natural
ability. He’s got a lot natural skill. I aint’ never seen anyone touch
up Jesse like that, and he’s been with me for over 15 years and I’ve
seen him spar a lot of good fighters. That uppercut kept getting through
and I know Jesse has good defense.”

Re: Steve Claggett - Next Big Thing Out of Canada
just got back from the fights and Steve Claggett destroyed Jose Mendoza. 2 knockdowns in the 2nd round from head shots, 1 in the 3rd round from a body shot and then the fight was stopped on another body shot.
He's really got some talent and I think he's gonna make it big
video will be up on fightfan.com tomorrow(today technically)
Adam Trupish(8-0)(Canadian representative in 2 Olympics, 2 Pan Am Games, 2 commonwealth games, 3 world championships) also won by 2nd round KO from a sick uppercut

Ye I think he's gonna make it real big. I used to go to the same gym as him and the progression he's made in his skills is just amazing
