Your xbox still under warranty? Just send it in and they send you a new one...

or do what my buddy did. Buy a new one from Wal-Mart. change out the casing from old one to your new one (MAKE SURE not to mess up the sticker on the back) and then take it back to get your money back.. BAM.. xbox baby.

Call them, make sure to have your console number written down and tell them whats going on. They will check to see if its still under warranty, etc.
