I personally don't see the weight as a factor. Manny weighs in below the WW limit, he even weighed in at 144.5 for his "junior middleweight" bout with Margarito (more properly 150 pound catchweight bout, but even so Manny was 5.5 pounds south of this limit). Most fighters who slim down to make weight would put on somewhere roughly in the neighborhood of 8 or 9 pounds after the weigh in anyway, so if the fighters were to weigh in at lightweight a fight-time weight of 144 would be completely ordinary. Basically, each fighter weighs in at their walking weight without having to dehydrate the extra pounds to make 135. Manny is not a true WW in that he doesn't walk around at say 165 and then slimdown to make weight, so the fight being at WW shouldn't be a factor here.

I had a feeling when I saw that your name as the last reply in the thread that you would say this. I hope you are right. Not only because I would have to miss out on one of the better UFC cards(which means at most it likely be only decent) live but because I would hate to realize that the man behind the UFC thinks that way.
