K-1 Final 16 in Nanjing October 29th

Seen loads of different rumoured line ups not sure which one is more credible than the rest. I do keep seeing those same 3 listed though.

I have seen Karaev vs Bouzidi in a couple of places too.

As long as Poturak is excluded, ill be fine with the lineup.

Happy about Aerts though. Should turn out to be an entertaining event, nonetheless.

With the obvious exclusion of Spong on that list, the word is that Spong/Karaev will be the final fight announced for the Final 16.

I heard that Spong is injured. Maybe that's why they havn't announced it.

Spong just had knee surgery and has been in the US for quite a while, hell, he was at the UFC show tonight and was in Houston for most of UFC's fight week. From what I've heard he isn't training for K-1.

Also, Simon Rutz put a deadline for K-1 to pay up their debts or he pulls his fighters, that deadline passed on Friday, so I spoke to him to see what was up, and it seems like he has no clue what is going on with them and it doesn't sound good.

I love Tanikawa's style. He announces a tournament, doesn't fulfill his obligation....then he hides under a pile of coats and hopes that everything turns out ok

If I don't get to see Karaev after all of this talk that he would be in, i'm gonna throw a hissy-fit, bitch and moan to people who don't give a shit about the sport.

Do you know the amount owed by FEG?

I just don't think it's going to happen this year. It's so late in the game right now. They still owe Showtime money. They havn't made any promos etc. If it does happen it will be a shit tournament with more than half the guys being cans or some no name Sanda fighters.

It's do or die for FEG. They are dodging a bullet because Sefo and Reem aren't participating but I don't think the rest of the fighters that are owed money will bite on this (unless they are really desperate for $$$). In that case I hope they get piad up front
