Seen loads of different rumoured line ups not sure which one is more credible than the rest. I do keep seeing those same 3 listed though.

I have seen Karaev vs Bouzidi in a couple of places too.

That's pretty good. WHat's this about Spong dropping out?

Fights I'm okay with seeing:

Hari vs Kreshnik
Saki vs Verhoeven
Gerges vs Zimmerman
Kyotaro vs Manhoef
Ghita vs Bajrami
Spong vs Braddock Silva
Karaev vs Bouzidi
Edwards vs Jaideep

From liverkick. Apparently Ghita's trainer has leaked the line-up. There is 1 fight that has yet to be announced. Looks like Aerts will be back and vs. Melvin :

Xhavit Bajrami vs. Daniel Ghita

Hesdy Gerges vs. Errol Zimmerman

Ben Edwards vs. Singh Jaideep

Mourad Bouzidi vs. Kyotaro

Peter Aerts vs. Melvin Manhoef

Sergei Lascenko vs. Rico Verhoeven

Badr Hari vs. Anderson "Braddock" Silva

Poor Braddock. He's going to get destroyed.

Still wish to see Karaev or Saki....or both.

Happy about Aerts though. Should turn out to be an entertaining event, nonetheless.

With the obvious exclusion of Spong on that list, the word is that Spong/Karaev will be the final fight announced for the Final 16.

Killer match.

I heard that Spong is injured. Maybe that's why they havn't announced it.

I thought K-1 was going to bring in a Chinese rep

Aerts is back! Very Happy

Thats all I needed to hear. Everything else is a bonus.

Pity about Spong though if he is injured.

Spong just had knee surgery and has been in the US for quite a while, hell, he was at the UFC show tonight and was in Houston for most of UFC's fight week. From what I've heard he isn't training for K-1.

Also, Simon Rutz put a deadline for K-1 to pay up their debts or he pulls his fighters, that deadline passed on Friday, so I spoke to him to see what was up, and it seems like he has no clue what is going on with them and it doesn't sound good.

I love Tanikawa's style. He announces a tournament, doesn't fulfill his obligation....then he hides under a pile of coats and hopes that everything turns out ok

If I don't get to see Karaev after all of this talk that he would be in, i'm gonna throw a hissy-fit, bitch and moan to people who don't give a shit about the sport.

I just don't think it's going to happen this year. It's so late in the game right now. They still owe Showtime money. They havn't made any promos etc. If it does happen it will be a shit tournament with more than half the guys being cans or some no name Sanda fighters.

He's right about Badr and Saki. I can see them destroying a few cans at first, but it's not going to be easy after that

update from liverkick :

http://www.liverkick.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=932:k-1-final-16-update-k-1-brokering-deal-with-fighters-for-half-of-money-owed-&catid=36:k-1#comments

It's do or die for FEG. They are dodging a bullet because Sefo and Reem aren't participating but I don't think the rest of the fighters that are owed money will bite on this (unless they are really desperate for $$$). In that case I hope they get piad up front
