It's a long article, but a very good read. I'll post a bit here, read the rest on site at:

The 2010 K-1 World GP Final went down a little over two weeks ago and it was certainly one of the best finals in the rich and storied history of the tournament. Most people will remember it for Alistair Overeem’s victory over three tough opponents to finally capture his first K-1 World GP Title and make history by becoming the first man to hold two world titles from two completely different sports simultaneously. Others will remember the war that both Gokhan Saki and Daniel Ghita put on during their epic encounter in the third quarter-final of the tournament. However, there is one moment that will forever be etched in the minds of K-1 fans across the world.

Peter Aerts’s arms being raised in victory after defeating Semmy Schilt.

Okay. So you must be thinking to yourself, “How on earth was Peter Aerts able to defeat Semmy Schilt? Aerts is 40, Schilt is close to seven feet tall and is the most dominant fighter ever in the K-1 World GP, it’s just impossible!” Well, Aerts proved that evening that anything is possible and that if you set your mind to a goal that you would like to accomplish, you will be successful.

man i agree, that was such an amazing fight, Aerts fought his heart out. In some ways, beating semmy at 40 is probably more rewarding than winning a gp in his youth. Nobody has fought bigger names in their career than Aerts. He has fought the best fighters ever Hoost, REmy, Schilt, Mirko, Reem, SAki, Sefo, Musashi, Hug, Lebanner...fuck he has pretty much fought EVERYBODY there ever was in this sport. what a legend.

Ya man, I mean Ubereem came out the winner of the WGP, but in my mind Aerts is the uncrowned king just because of that win!
