Still, multiple time World Heavyweight Muay Thai champion isn't a bad moniker to have, and he has names like Schilt-ohhh, Hari-uhhhh, Aerts-ahhhh, Pettas-uhhh, Majstorovic, in his wins column, with a couple of early wins over Remy and Ghita too.

Really athletic heavyweight with great kicks and knees. A rival with prime Mirko for being proficient with the head kick.

Iggy had some of the best pure Muay Thai you would ever see at 110 kg at his peak, not to mention a IRON JAW (never been knocked out still to this day if im not mistaken). A true shame he went down the wrong pathway.



I hear he is training in New Zealand, hoping for another chance at the bigshow. I hope he turns the corner and works his way back.

Shame when K-1 gave him another chance he jumped into the main event vs Badr Hari, talk about being thrown to the wolves. Still I have never EVER seen Badr fight an opponent like he fought Iggy for the second time, practically no aggression from Hari. Says alot about the respect level.

Ignashov is fucking awesome. Evern after all the injuries, drinking problem, and time off, Ignashov still showed amazing head movement and reflexes in his most recent fight with Hari. Surviving and going to a decision. The first win over Hari was when Hari was 17 years old so I wont give him much credit for that.

But yes, Ignashov is fucking awesome.

He beat a lot of other top guys too R3D. Schilt, Remy, Ghita, Bernardo etc....

Agreed with Will too, some of the best MT at heavyweight in the K-1 circuit. His fights with Semmy, Badr 1 and 2, Leko 1 and 2, and Williams are some of my favourites

Definitely. I'd say it hurts Buakaw and Reem more, and they're probably the two guys K-1 wanted to fuck over with it (prior to switching, and falling in love with Reem) but Alexey is hurt by the loss of clinch too

^^Schilt too Fletch, FEG want to fuck him bad as they can and I dont blame them. Nobody wants to pay to watch Sem fight. That why with Badr and Remy gone they jumped on the "Reem" wagon and he became their face of 2010.

Iggy has been training mostly boxing these days anyways, well at lease according to Schiavello
