IT FUCKING SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!...That being said I still watch my old wrestling tapes

I still watch shit from 96-02..... still enjoyable..... I guess age is an obvious factor, but if we're talking WWF ---> WWE, then quality of the product is a rather more obvious factor

Simply put, there were great characters and storylines in the late 90s/early 00s..... the best of which left for Hollywood.... leaving Chris Jericho, and a bunch of stale guys who've kept all the top spots for themselves, like HHH.... it became a cliche of itself, while dumbing down and catering for younger audiences, due to MMA stealing the 18-36 demographic..... in short, a lot of factors combined to make the product stale.

1989 to 1991 WCW and WWF is probably the best time frame in wrestling, until ECW came.

I don't know if it sucks not, but it's changed. The wrestlers of our childhood are broke down and old, and the new crop is in. Doesn't mean it's bad or good, but it's not our era.

Once WWE did the little draft into smackdown and raw making it totally separate, thats when shit went downhill and I quit watching.

I was in 3rd or 4th grade and stayed up late at night to watch Raw and Monday Nitro.
Also got some old ECW tapes, that shit totally rocked back then

It's OK to watch if you just skip through all the bullshit and just watch the matches.

I'll go to local Pro Wrestling shows like PWG. That shit's always fun to see. I haven't watched WWE since maybe 07 or so. It sucks ass now. The mid-late 90's will forever be the best time in wrestling, all promotions were good products back then.

The PWG shows look fun.

If I lived in So Cal I'd definitely check 'em out every now and then.

Chikara and ROH constantly put out a good product, too bad people seem too focused on WWE and TNA, the latter of which sucks balls. The prowrestling scene is stale rotten since the demise of WCW. Dramatic Dream Team, from Japan, is also awesome and wacky as hell - i mean, one of the wrestlers is an inflatable doll...

But if i'm into having a guaranteed good time, i just pop JCW Vol. 1 to 3 on the DVD and enjoy the craziness and humor of the commentary. "And now, a special 'who the fuck are these guys' match". How can you beat that?

i have never understood pro wrestling, its only kids who watch it over here in aus, although i did enjoy wrestlemania on my sega genesis

Luckily we got youtube and justin tv to relive the good ole days of studio shows, fat drunk fucks who knew how to properly work a match and title changes being a big deal

Having watched pro wrestling sense hogan slammed Andre I have been very disappointed with these weak ass gimmicks and writers. Yeah I haven't watched WWE or TNA or whatever sense The last November too remember, Save the pro wresting for the kids, MMA is a lot more entertaining. Like bloodstain says tho I still watch old tapes of WWF & ECW. Vince really had a chance to do something when he bought out WCW. I even thought he should of bought the UFC at the time. He had two UFC champs. Imagine? I think his kid are fucking up the company.

too many backstage politics and poor booking has really crippled the wrestling industry.

hell, I would jump at the chance of improving the state of the product.
