Does wrestling suck now?

i was a lifelong fan from the early 80's, but they lost me after the attitude era, i have tried to watch in recent years, but it really sucks these days (TNT as well)...

stopped watching a little after wcw and wwf became one.

I think the wwf died with mick foley retiring.

I play Fire Pro Wrestling Returns but as far as the product goes, it started dying after WCW sunk and got bought out. I stopped watching in mid-2004.

Yeah it sucks.

The only thing great about wrestling now, is watching shoot interviews and botchamania.

Dragon Gate, CHIKARA, Shimmer, are pretty decent though, and the Japs still do it up.

WWE is horrid nowadays though. TNA fucking sucks too. I don't care what any smark says, fuck TNA.

I still watch my old tapes and dvds from time to time. Still love that shit.

I heard CHIKARA is pretty good, and Ive been meaning to watch some latley.

wrestling doesnt finish fights. it simply takes fights into another dimension.

as a fan of FINISHED FIGHTS, I think wrestling is fucking gay.

Is it still the most effective takedown system in MMA? Yes. Judo, Sambo, BJJ all are awesome but they are dependant too much on the gi.

wrestling takedowns uses the most practical takedown grips possible which is what makes so effective. they take you down by grabbing your limbs, body. Not a jacket you're wearing. That translates best to MMA.

WWE (for example) got follow problems:

-PG
-bad writers
-boring faces (John Cena, Rey Mysterio)
-To many PPV's
-To many gimickmatches (They are nice but come on, they need to stay something special)
-Not enough giants (R.I.P. Giant Gonzalez)
-Boring theme songs...come on not always rock...i like this music..but..

imo wrestling went down hill after ECW died cuz they were the last org to really focus mostly on the wrestling as to the plot and m night shymalan twist storylines that now flood WWE and has plagued it for a longtime along with the same people gettin the fucking titles.

I still think they have some pretty good and talented wrestlers (heels), for example CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Shaemus and Wade Barret. Their biggest problem is imo the PG and the terrible writers who i blame both for only guys like Rey Mysterio, John Cena and Rany Orton being pushed the hole time.

wwe will always push a select few.they have done that since there creation.the only time when there was a slew of great talent being pushed was the late 80's early 90's
