Badr Hari vs Daniel Ghita?

Daniel Ghita will not fight with Badr Hari in September. I spoke yesterday with Daniel Ghita and told me that. He said that his next fight will be in October at the K-1 final 16.

I wonder how much of it is true? It would be huge news if we would be getting a K1 WGP this year, since it really did not look like it was going to happen anymore.

Does anyone know more about it? I'd love to know. It might very well be bullshit, though.

Edit: BSL confirmed it on Twitter aswell. I guess its true then. Still interested in the K-1 final 16 part aswell..

This is great news, Im glad Its Showtime and the "new management" of K-1 worked it out.

When I first saw the dates of the fights I feared that fighters may only be able to fight in one organization.

Zuffa should learn from this two organizations working together. Looks like the GP will have badr in it

I would rather them both have tune up fights in the 16 so we can see them both in the final 8

Man I love the K-1 GP's by far the best event of the year and the only one I get legitimately excited for.

I hope Overeem will also participate.

It would be a hard night for Badr if he fought Ghita in the first round. If he can't finish him quick, he'll probably end up like Saki did. That's the thing about that fucker. He won't beat the top, top guys, but he'll make them hurt... a LOT

Since Dynamite doesn't look to be a factor this year, I can see the WGP Final 8 taking place on NYE. Hari, Schilt, Ghita, Saki, Overeem, Zimmerman, Spong and for fucks sake Corbett. I cannot wait.

Luckily since they were scheduled to fight twice we are still almost guaranteed to see his fight.

Ariel Helwani interviews Tyrone Spong and Spong also mentions the K1 GP.

Ive been watching Badr Hari literally all day at work. I'm all by myself for 16 hours a day, so today I watched every single Badr Hari fight and HDnet special I have on my hard drive. At this point, all I want is to see Badr fight three times in one night. Every time he fights, its a fucking treat. That last shmuck he fought was sort of anticlimactic. He kicked the fucking shit out of him, but it was against a dude who was legitimately scared of Badr because he was so in over his head. I want him fighting anyone who will put up a fight, because he is bar none the most exciting fighter on the planet today, in any sport.
