This is hard. I am trying to make sure the matches are good while also avoiding the elimination of too many big names in the first round.

Its unfortunate to say that these participants are purely what I want to see in the upcoming GP.

So expect some solid fighters like Hari, Spong, Ghita, and Saki sprinkled with opposition such as Jaideep, Sato, Edwards, and Poturak.

Mousasi would also be a good addition as it seems like there's nothing for him to do in Strikeforce currently with every other LHW signed up to fight.

He could easily replace Karaev in my bracket if he isn't healthy enough.

K-1 seriously needs an injection of youth in their Grand Prixs because outside of Spong, no one is really all too young in the scheme of combat sports

I don't know. Spong is better overall, but Ghita has the chin and low kicks to fuck anyones day up.

Yeah that ones hard to call. I sorta agree with that ratio, but who knows till the fight happens. On one hand, Spong is much more technical and talented overall. On the other, Ghita has just been given natural physical attributes to be a great kickboxer. The way he let Gerges unload on his forehead while basically laughing at him was un-fucking-real. Ghita got bumped in my books from a so-so guy to a fucking legend. He just has that brute power and the raw ability to not be phased by anything. Spong doesnt really have that power needed to crack chin, and even if he did win, he would end up like Saki did, with broken sides of his body.

I'm a huge Ghita fan, but quite honestly, Spong would exploit the shit out of Ghita's underdeveloped hands. One thing Ty is incredibly good at, in fact better than any heavyweight in the history of the sport, is timing the teep kick when his opponents plant to throw a legkick. This completely negates any leg offense his opponents can use against him by knocking them off balance. Watch his fight against Saki, and you'll see that he shut down Saki's legs and turned the fight into a modified boxing match. Tyrone would get inside and do some serious damage with his hands. Ghita would constantly be falling over if he tried to launch his typical kick blitz. He would also be losing energy from getting up so frequently. It would only be a matter of time until Spong put together a lightening quick punch combo that would put Ghita down.

Tyrone is phenomenal but part of this hype is because of his age. Let's not act like he's some unstoppable force in the K1 circuit. Like Saki , he's too small to ever dominate a WGP , and i believe he will have difficulties with larger opponents that are also technical , Ghita being the flagship fighter of that description. He hasn't fought the entire "elite circuit" yet , and the ones that he did fought , were tough bouts. He lost to Saki 2 years ago , he lost to JLB a year ago , he showed heart against Reem , but still couldn't handle him , if we're sincere. His only top win is against 2010 Sefo. Not to sound like a hater , just speakin my mind. I can't see him win a GP , not a fully fledged one at least. He's 25 though , still 25 , nuff said.
