The naming for the weight classes can be so confusing. There's like 50 pounds between LHW and HW lol.

It's different in kickboxing. Boxing super middleweight would be 168 which is almost 77kg. Kinda hard to explain but kickboxing weight class names are all over the place. Each governing body and the like has different weight classes and different names for them. WAKO, WKN, etc. all have different weight divisions

Let's be REAL honest for a second! Ramzi Tamaditi lost to Kaestner. And so what? He had an off night. Just look at his past fights if you need proof of this. There can be no dispute that he would CRUSH the dudes ranking 10-4. I'm incredibly angry that Le Professeur keeps getting shafted like this. Mark my words, he will be the next big thing in -77Kg. He would beat the absolute SHIT out of Aussie. Yeah, he's fought at lighter weights thus far, and hasn't had the opportunity to fight in large promotions, but what gives? LOOK AT HIS FUCKING RECORD!!!

Rankings aren't based off of who would hypothetically win in a fight

I know Soy, and I agree 100%, but look at his record. He deserves to be in the top 10 at least!

Until recently he's been fighting at 70-72.5kg. Who's he beat at 77kg to warrant a top 10 spot?

As I said earlier, -77KG! That is quite a large gap between the lower weights! And even so, Ramzi is being misrepresented and overlooked even in the middleweight rankings. I haven't seen Liverkick rankings in regards to this weight class in a while. I know LK has strictly ranked HW & LHW as of late, so lumping lower weight fighters into one big barrel, Tamaditi would crush most dudes at or near the -77 KG weight class..

What? These are our first Light Heavyweight rankings. We released the 70-73kg rankings a few days ago. This is the 77kg rankings

I don't really get what you're saying. I don't see how Ramzi has any wins that can warrant him a top 10 spot at 77kg. I also don't see how we're lumping fighters into one big barrel. We made Middleweight 70-73kg because there's so much overlap between those weight classes and 77kg because it's an established weight division now in a lot of kickboxing shows.

MY BAD SOY! I didn't see that until you pointed it out. Sorry bro! I guess the question for me, becomes this : Why isn't Tamaditi ranked in the top 10 middleweights then? Sure, Kraus has a great history, but who has he beaten lately? #'s 6-1 are fairly good rankings in my opinion, but Sato and Hinata in front of Tamaditi? HE JUST WON A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

77kg Light Heavyweight?

What are 85 and 95 then? I tend to refer to Showtime's 85MAX as either MW or LHW, and 95MAX as either LHW or cruiserweight.

Cant have TWO weight classes in between 77kg and heavyweight.

Different orgs have different definitions, some are better than others. I like the WMC/ISKA/WKN/WAKO one, that calls 70kg super-welterweight iirc

I think it's better not to put a name on them, and just use the weight. :/

That might be a good idea Laughing

Cant argue with 77MAX, 85MAX et al. My mates who have titles always refer to the weight itself anyway.

Soy, tell me what you think about my last post, man! TT is the only place where I can get educated opinions, so I want to know what you think!
